Kunming’s GDP reached 198.33 billion yuan in the first quarter, with a year-on-year growth of 4.1 percent, according to the Kunming Municipal Statistic Bureau on April 21.
The First Yunnan Kunming (International) Copyright Expo was held in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, from March 24 to 26.
Statistics show that Kunming's value-added industrial output grew 10.2 percent year-on-year during the January-February period, 1.7 percent higher than the national average, sending a strong signal for its market expectations and economic recovery.

Data shows that its investment in industrial sector grew by 41.4 percent on a yearly basis to reach 57.84 billion yuan in 2022, the highest rate since 2006.
Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, will spend 38 billion yuan ($5.57 billion) this year to improve its transportation infrastructure.
Kunming reported foreign trade of 199.74 billion yuan ($28.5 billion), surging 16.4 percent year on year, in 2022.
