The First Yunnan Kunming (International) Copyright Expo was held in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, from March 24 to 26.

With an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, the expo brought together 186 domestic enterprises and over 300 exhibition items from 24 countries.

Those exhibited items from abroad covered publications, music and literary works together with African hand drums, Afghan carpets and Japanese teapots.

During the expo, visitors could learn traditional gourd carving and cloisonne enamel handicrafts and registered copyright over their handmade items. The special design aimed to further raise public awareness of copyright protection and have a better understanding of registration procedures.
