The China-South Asia Expo, currently underway in Kunming, Yunnan province, is expected to significantly boost trade, economic development, tourism, and cultural exchanges between China and South Asian nations. The expo, now in its eighth edition since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, runs through to July 28.

This year, the event has attracted participation from 82 countries, regions, and international organizations, featuring over 2,000 exhibitors. Nearly half of this year's exhibitors are from overseas, with all the nations of South and Southeast Asia represented. This diverse line-up underscores the expo's role as a pivotal platform for international cooperation and economic engagement.
