Chenggong district receives over 700,000 visitors during May Day holiday

During the May Day holiday, Chenggong district of Kunming received a total of 712,400 tourists, an increase of 14.29% compared to the previous year.

Visitors to Chenggong mainly travel by self-driving or public transportation, with approximately 20% of the visitors are from outside the Yunnan province. Popular tourist attractions within the district include the Dounan Flower Market, Dounan Wetland Park, and Kunming Flower Ocean World. Purchasing flowers, leisure sightseeing, and outdoor activities are the primary purposes for tourists visiting Chenggong during the holidays.

Chenggong district hosted a variety of events during the holiday period. At the Dounan Flower Market, the "Sending You a Red Flower" event lasted for 5 days. Additionally, at the Chenggong Cultural and Sports Activity Center, a symphony orchestra performance was held. These events comprehensively showcased Chenggong's abundant cultural and tourism resources, providing more options for out-of-town visitors.
