Kunming plans 209 new projects in Q1 with investment totaling 48 billion yuan

Kunming plans to commence 209 new projects with a total investment of 47.86 billion yuan($6.66 billion) in the first quarter of 2024.

Among the 209 projects, there are 94 industrial projects with a total investment of 18.98 billion yuan. One of the notable projects is the relocation project of Yunnan Yuntong Zinc Industry Co., Ltd., located in Anning city of Kunming. After completion, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 2.6 billion yuan and create around 500 new jobs. 

The Zhuyuangou photovoltaic power generation project is the largest solar energy investment project in Kunming this year, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. Located in Xundian county, the project involves the construction of a 300MW photovoltaic power station. It is expected to achieve an annual output value of approximately 160 million yuan and create around 1,000 new jobs after completion and commissioning.

In addition to the above-mentioned industrial investment projects, the first quarter's planned new projects also include construction projects in transportation, water conservancy, education, health, urban infrastructure, and other fields.
