A modern Huadeng Opera "The World of Flowers" was performed in Chenggong district, Kunming, on Jan 30.
Created by Chengong district and Yunnan Huadeng Opera Theatre, it was dedicated to the story of Chenggong's Dounan Flower Market, recognized as Asia's largest fresh-cut flower trading market, and the life of industry figures.
On the theme of "Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life," the opera presented Yunnan’s pillar industry and rich ethnic cultures.
The actors' superb performances not only upheld the traditional culture of the Chinese but also provided the audience with a unique artistic experience. The clear storyline, vividly portrayed characters, and ethnic costumes created delightful experience for the audience.
