Chenggong district improves services for women and children

In 2023, the Chenggong District Maternal and Child Health Service Center has strengthened its efforts in providing health services, especially for women and children, and improving the professional capabilities of medical personnel.

The center has guided medical staff to enhance their health expertise, leading to a noticeable improvement in the quality of healthcare services. Over the past three years, 24 medical personnel have been sent for further training.

The maternal mortality rate in the jurisdiction is 0 percent, and both the maternal and infant mortality rates have seen reduction.

Regular volunteer service activities, including community outreach and providing medical advice, are conducted in-depth within the community.

During such activities in 2023, nearly 10,000 information  materials were distributed in street communities. Health consultations were provided to over 3,800 individuals. Additionally, 1,447 couples underwent free pre-marital medical examinations, achieving a pre-marital examination rate of 89.96 percent.
