This year, Kunming has been prioritizing eight industry chains, namely, green food, biomedicine, flowers, high-end equipment and automobile manufacturing, electronic information manufacturing and the digital economy, green energy, new materials, and modern logistics.
In the first half of 2023, Kunming’s 86,386 companies involved in the eight industrial chains achieved an output of 667.5 billion yuan($91.2 billion), bolstering the comprehensive construction of Kunming into an industrial highland.
The industrial output of modern logistics, biomedicine and green energy ranked top 3 among the 8 industrial chains. In the first half of this year, the total revenue of the city's modern logistics industry reached 1.25 trillion yuan, marking a 5 percent year-on-year growth.
In Kunming, the modern logistics industry is actively planning cross-border logistics projects centered around logistics hubs and port economies, driving the development of the Mohan International Port City.
Going forward, Kunming will continue to develop industrial chains and promote their coordinative development.
