Ecological fairy place nearby Dianchi

In August, the Lao Yu River Wetland Park on the eastern shore of Dianchi Lake is a picturesque sight to behold.

The park boasts 32,000 Chinese fir trees thriving by the water, creating an enchanting haven for birds and fish, and a captivating playground for children exploring by boat.

The expansive allure of Dianchi Lake beckons visitors to playfully wade in its shallow waters, providing them with an immersive ecological experience.

The vegetation coverage of the Dianchi Lake wetlands has increased significantly, rising from 13.1 percent in 2007 to approximately 81 percent today. The number of plant species has also grown from 232 to 303, the bird species from 89 to 175, and there are currently 26 species of fish.

Since 2008, efforts have been made to enhance the protection of the lakeshore areas of Dianchi Lake, resulting in the establishment of a primarily wetland-based ecological belt around the lake, spanning 62,900 acres.
