Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Corridor Governors Forum held in Kunming

On Aug 16, the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Corridor Governors Forum was held in the Guandu district of Kunming. More than 100 foreign guests and business representatives from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, as well as officials from the Southeast Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank also came to visit.

The event focused on discussions related to economic and trade cooperation, as well as cultural exchanges.

During the visit, the inspection delegation toured the New Luosiwan International Trade City to gain a deeper understanding of Yunnan's history and culture as well as developments in commerce and foreign trade.

They also came to the China (Yunnan) Pilot Free-Trade Zone to visit the International Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center and the Cross-border Live E-commerce Center. They had the opportunity to view intricately carved gourd artworks, experience paper-cutting art, and engaged in discussions with inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.

Guandu district also introduced its economic development, ecological conservation, urban construction, and the business environment to the guests.
