Billion-yuan investment projects secured during the China-South Asia Expo

During the seventh China-South Asia Exposition and the 27th China Kunming Import and Export Fair, held in Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan province, a total of 338 projects with an investment of 404 billion yuan ($55.5 billion) were signed on Thursday.

These investment projects are centered around key industries in Yunnan, including modern agriculture with plateau characteristics, green energy, advanced manufacturing, cultural tourism, and healthcare.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, being major growth drivers in the country, continue to play a significant role in investment within Yunnan. Enterprises from these influential regions are propelling Yunnan's economic growth, leveraging its strategic location and abundant resources to enhance the province's path towards high-quality development.

The capital city, Kunming, has inked 69 investment agreements with a cumulative contract value of 65.6 billion yuan. These agreements are poised to inject fresh momentum into the city's industrial transformation and advancement, expedite the creation of industrial clusters, and foster ongoing optimization of its economic structure.
