In Xundian Hui and Yi autonomous county of Kunming, the Qingshuihai Reservoir looks like a blue pearl embedded in the mountainous area.
Qingshuihai Reservoir has a water storage of 2,180 meters and a total storage capacity of 154 million cubic meters. It is an important source of water for the nearly one million people of Kunming every year.
Its quality and quantity are well-protected thanks to the local government’s implementation of the concept: lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
Since 2012, Qingshuihai Reservoir has supplied 900 million cubic meters of water to Kunming.
