Yunnan’s largest charging station now open in Kunming

Kunming Chajie Electric Vehicle Charging and Swapping Station, the largest of its kind in Yunnan province, has recently opened to the public.

With a total capacity of about 3,800 kilowatts, it can provide charging services for more than 1,000 electric vehicles and provide battery swapping services for more than 500 vehicles every day.

It also provides 5G and waiting room services.

Since its trial operation last August, it has provided 24,000 charging service and 62,000 swapping services. The total served amount is equivalent to a cumulative reduction of 248 tons of carbon emissions, and effectively boosting charging services for new energy vehicles in Kunming.

As of the end of 2022, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation has built more than 1,600 charging stations in the province. The charging network covers 16 states (cities), covering 83 percent of townships.
