The total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Haikou Industrial Park, Kunming, Southwest China’s Yunnan province, reached 20.97 billion yuan in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 16.9 percent.

As the fourth industrial park in Kunming with an annual output value exceeding 20 billion yuan, the Haikou park was certified as a provincial-level development zone in December 2022.

In 2023, the park will accelerate the establishment of a national phosphate and compound fertilizer supply base and a national fine phosphorus chemical demonstration base, forming a fine phosphorus chemical industry chain integrating research, production, sales, warehousing, and logistics. Eventually, it will develop advanced equipment manufacturing.

The park will strive to build three industrial chains of fine phosphorus chemical industry, fine fluorine chemical industry and polymer materials, and form a chemical industry cluster with an output value of over 15 billion yuan by 2025.

It will also build an advanced equipment manufacturing industrial cluster, and achieve an output value of five billion yuan by 2025.

In 2023, Kunming plans to implement 900 municipal-level key projects, with a total investment of 1.28 billion yuan. The planned investment in 2023 is 183.13 billion yuan. The project construction mainly includes agriculture, forestry and water conservancy, transportation, energy, urban construction, ecological environmental protection, industry and informatization, business services, and social undertakings in eight fields.
