The vaccination services are now available at a fixed time and place in Kunming every month to foreigners who need and are willing to be vaccinated. Below is some information for the services.
I. The schedule of vaccination
9:00-17:00 on the first Friday of every month
II. Is there any age limits or other requirements?
Foreigners aged 3 and above who work, study or reside in Kunming and are eligible for vaccination may voluntarily apply for vaccination of domestically-developed COVID-19 vaccines on an informed consent basis.
III. What kind of vaccines will be given?
Domestically-developed COVID-19 vaccines, including inactivated, recombinant protein and adenovirus vector vaccines are used currently for people in the city. You may choose the vaccine as your will, and please consult your vaccination doctor for the specific procedure.
IV. How can I make an appointment for vaccination?
1. You may make an appointment with the designated hospital by yourself.

V. What documents should be provided?
Foreigners need to provide their valid IDs when making an appointment for vaccination. Please present your Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People’s Republic of China or passport and valid stay/residence permit at the vaccination site. Those who have been covered by medical insurance plan should bring a valid medical insurance participation certificate (Social Security Card) and a photocopy of the Social Security Card. Please make sure that the relevant documents are valid on the date of vaccination.
VI. Do I need to pay for the vaccination?
Foreigners who have been covered by China’s social security and medical insurance plan will receive vaccination free of charge by presenting their medical insurance participation certificate (Social Security Card) at the vaccination site. Those who have not should bear the cost of 100 yuan/dose (including vaccine fee and vaccination service fee), and cash payment in RMB only.
VII. What care should I take after the vaccine shots?
After receiving the vaccine shot, you need to stay in the observation area for 30 minutes at the vaccination site and may only leave when there is no sign of discomfort. If you have severely adverse symptoms after vaccination, please seek for medical attention and report to the designated hospital immediately.
VIII. How do I get the vaccination certificate?
After the vaccination is completed, you may request the vaccination certificate from the staff of the designated hospital.
