A list of top 20 tourism players was revealed at a tourism conglomeration development forum online from Dec 11 to 12.
Top players include the China Tourism Group, the Overseas Chinese Town, the Beijing Tourism Group and the China Youth Travel Service.
The forum was hosted by the China Tourism Academy and the China Tourism Association.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Hu Heping, minister of culture and tourism, stressed high-quality development driven by reform and innovation and acceleration of modern tourism system improvement by promoting deep integration of cultural and tourism development.
Hu urged related parties to continuously enrich the supply of high-quality tourism products and services, meet the needs of the people more and strive to make tourism an important engine to promote economic development and cultural confidence.
Zhang Zhen'gao, chairman of the OCT, said the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has pointed the way for high-quality cultural and tourism development.
Zhang says he believes in the bright prospects of tourism industry as it is a perennial sunrise industry.
