The second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity is scheduled for Dec 7-19 (Beijing Time) in Montreal, Canada.
The second part of COP15 follows the first phase of the meeting in Kunming in October 2021. China remains the president of the conference with the theme of "Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth."
China launched the Kunming Biodiversity Fund during the first part of the COP15 in Kunming last year and pledged $230 million to enable developing countries support biodiversity protection.
Through the preparation of COP15 last year, Kunming implemented 28 key projects including smart transportation and public transport. The city has 12,000 5G base stations.
It has renewed urban management, the city's appearance and environment, making its residents very happy.
