An electric power new material equipment science and technology industrial park project and high-quality cable products of Yunnan Duobao Cable Group., Ltd., a representative enterprise of the cable manufacturing industry in Yunnan, Southwest China, were displayed at the 6th China-South Asia Exposition and the 26th China Kunming Import and Export Fair.
Duobao Cable Group will build the industrial park in the Kunming National High-tech Industries Development Zone, with an investment of around one billion yuan($138.9 million).
The park will become the largest wire and cable industrial park in Southwest China, as well as in the jurisdiction of Southern Power Grids. It features digital integrated management and the most advanced intelligent production line in China, producing high-performance wires and cables.
Aiming to become a digital intelligent photoelectric industrial park, the park will build an intelligent and digital factory with a variety of new cable products and high-end supporting facilities, focused on core products, such as photovoltaic cables, automobile cables, and aerospace products.
It will also build a green, low-carbon, environmentally friendly, highly safe photovoltaic industry and a high-tech industrial chain. By working with industry-leading companies and well-known Chinese universities and institutions, the science park will deepen industry-academia-research cooperation to boost the development of power materials in the western region of China.
The group will put increasing effort into the Belt and Road initiative, strive to develop the industrial park through intelligent upgrading and the structural transformation of electrical power equipment, new materials and the equipment manufacturing industry.
