According to Kunming government’s plan to develop its modern service industry, by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, the added value of the industry is expected to top 660 billion yuan ($91.2 billion) with more comprehensive systems and mature services.
The sector will be inclusive of services of modern logistics, tourism, health care, information, finance, technology services, cultural creativity, exhibition and more.
By the year 2025, Kunming will become an international logistics hub city with production capacity and cross-border trade operations. The logistics industry is expected to contribute 10 percent to Kunming’s GDP.
High-quality development will better serve the South Asia and Southeast Asia markets as well as promote their development.
