Yunnan Technician College, located in Kunming, has issued certificates of vocational skills to 10 teachers from the Skills Development Institute of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Laos. This is the first time that Kunming has issued vocational skills certificates to overseas teachers.
It is the result of the10-week long online training for teachers from the Laos institution launched in May by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the International Labour Organization.
On July 28, the Yunnan Technician College awarded certificates to 10 teachers with the qualifications of senior workers and with the professional skill level of an e-commerce engineer.
“This has greatly strengthened our teachers’ skills and plays an active role in the training of e-commerce talents in Laos,” said the president of the Laos institute.
The trans-border certificate approval is a pioneering movement, which will help Kunming boost training for more Lao talents.
