The first post-doctoral workstation for rural revitalization was unveiled in Yanta village in Anning, Yunnan, on Nov 22.

The first post-doctoral scientific research team has started working here.

"Strong industries are fundamental to rural revitalization and wealth of rural people," said Sun Qixin, president of China Agricultural University, expressing his wishes for the workstation.

The workstation should not only strive to update theories, but explore practices and form a reproductive mode for reference in Yunnan and beyond, Sun added.

On the same day, Sun also led a research team to investigate Yanta village. And he gave applause to the efforts of the village on boosting development.

Bi Shaogang, mayor of Anning, said that the establishment of the post-doctoral workstation will further expand cooperation between Anning and China Agricultural University and promote the high-quality development of rural areas in the city.

Anning will provide workstations and experts with support in learning, scientific research and life, facilitating their research achievements.

Yanta village was selected as an experimental village for urban-driven rural revitalization and innovation in August 2019. Over the past three years, it has achieved notable progress in attracting investment and public construction with the help of experts.
